Filming for TV Drama “Invisible Target” Commenced in Hengdian

Source:  163

[Brief summary]

Filming for TV Drama “Invisible Target” has commenced in Hengdian.  Gallen flew in yesterday, March 15th, 2009, to start his first day “on his knees” with multiple bruises on his face and hands, clearly being roughened up.  Gallen and Liu Ye, who plays the former’s “son”, will not play against one another, but Gallen is hoping some additional scenes will be added to allow the two to meet face to face.

When asked, Gallen shared that due to his working schedule, at the moment he and his fiance can only communicate through cell phones regarding their wedding plan.

Maybe they will meet in their dreams

As soon as he arrived at Hengdian the day before, Gallen has been shooting studio scenes nonstop.  Even though he was cladded in a neat trim suit with sleek black hair, his first day being introduced to the cast and crew was obviously chaotic with multiple bruises and wounds on his face and hands.  They are red corn syrup, of course.  He had to kneel down, as well.  [Photo, left:  ent.163.com]

Liu Ye will play Gallen’s son in this drama, but the two might not play against one another.  “Unfortunately my “son” only grew up after I had died.  The director might consider adding some scenes to allow us (father and son) to meet in our dreams!”

Phone to Discuss Wedding Plan

Gallen will remain in Hengdian for another two days before flying back to Hong Kong to resume working on his latest TVB drama, “Wealth” (formerly “Root of Evil” aka “Grand Entrepreneur”), and then to Shanghai for other scenes of “Invisible Target”.  When asked how he would handle wedding planning amid full-time jobs, Gallen reluctantly shared that since they are both busy, they communicate by phone “We are not ready to discuss time, attires and location just yet.”

Brief summary:

Benny Chan’s “Invisible Target” (男儿本色) will see a TV version very soon, according to HK and China media.  To be produced by HK’s Universe , the drama will feature a strong cast line-up including Mainland King Liu Ye, Universe’s pillar Gallen Lo, and “ageless queen” Wang Yajie.

The drama will be directed by the same director of “Phoenix in Peony” (凤穿牡丹),  Tsang Lai Chun (曾丽珍).  The same production team behind “Phoenix” will be drafted for “Invisible” as well, including scriptwriters Zhang Xi (张希 ) and Wu Meng Zhang (吴孟璋).

Producer Tsang is known for her TVB classics such as “The Greed of Man”, “Blood of Good and Evil”, and “Justice Pao” as well as non-TVB works such as “Dream Links” (又见一帘幽梦, aka Dream behind the Curtain) and of course the most recent “Phoenix in Peony”. [Please see Addendum]

Filming for “Invisible” is expected to commence soon in Hengdian.

Addendum 01-02-2009:

Special thanks to hyn5

Please note that the director for the TV version of “Invisible Target” is 曾丽珍 (Traditional Chinese is 曾麗珍), who has recently won ‘Best Director’ for 《鳳穿牡丹》 (Mainland series) at 廣州“南方盛典”年度頒獎禮.  This director is NOT to be mistaken as TVB producer Catherine Tsang [曾勵珍] as reported in the article.
