And He’s… Engaged?

A ring on Gallen’s left hand caught attention during the press conference for “Lang Yan”.  The ring was not worn on the ring finger, it seemed.

But that doesn’t stop speculations to be circulated.  163 this morning has gone as far into details such as name, love story and future plan.

According to the cited article above, Gallen’s “fiancee” is Mainland actress Su Yan.  You have most likely seen her in “Everlasting Regret” and “Lust, Caution”.

You will have a chance to see the “couple” in their freshly filmed TV drama “Perfect Ending”.  It was, reportedly, on “Perfect Ending” set at the end of 2007 that the two started to develop feelings toward one another.  She was full of praises for him during interviews.  The two were quoted saying they shared “tacit understanding”, which allowed their cooperation to be exceptionally smooth, despite being the first.

He was going through divorce proceeding at the time.  Gallen’s divorce became public in July 2008.

Gallen reportedly shared with his friends that Su Yan was someone whom he could carry out conversations and share ideas with, and that their engagement at the dawn of the new year was “impromptu”.  Their engagement ceremony was very simple yet solemn, completed with rings - the symbol of love.

The cited article moved on to talk about the “couple”’s future plan, with him moving to Beijing upon completion of his current project, TVB’s grand production “Root of Evil”, and a wedding at end of 2009.  Gallen will continue to support his ex-wife and son.
