Series highlight: A grand family; a pair of non-blood related brothers rivaling each other, their love, hate, revenge entangled together. In the realm of love they too are victims of fate. Using the turbulent banking industry as background, the series comprises of overseas location shooting, strong cast line up, with the ‘classical’ actors and actresses showcasing their superb acting. The series is astounding and definitely anticipated by audiences.
Synopsis:
The story is based on a grand family in the banking industry, starting from the appearance of a conman who entered the family as the 2nd brother (Gallen Lo). In business, the 1st and 2nd brother rivals each other. Outside the business, each face love predicaments of their own: The 1st brother (Ray Lui) married an heiress (Jamie Chik) from influential family as wife, but developed an affair with a female lawyer (Kenix Kwok) who is considered his one true love. The 2nd brother is in love with the 3rd sister (Anita Yuen) whom he have no blood relations with but could not get together, challenging the limit of incest. On the surface, the two brothers share the same father with different mother. Will they only keep rivaling each other? In the family the 2nd brother felt the importance of family love, but as a conman he could only pick one between wealth and love. Will he be moved by family love, or will he step on the path of no return for wealth? The dear ones are innocent, but wealth is tempting!

Lavendar_Bluez, The synopsis sure sounds interesting, but… incest? First rape, now incest. What else should we be mentally prepared for? Anyway, have you checked out the sale clip? I found the clip, or rather Gallen, as not so dark as the synopsis made him to be. In certain scenes, he appears mischievous rather than evil.

Dilemma, dilemma, and more dilemma… That was my first thought when I saw the clip. The more pieces and bits come together, the storyline seems going to be a rather complicate one. The synopsis certainly give me the feel.

I guess a mix of disappointment but also happy because there were more than just the pictures I saw…cause honestly..the pictures I had first seen..lol..i thought it was gonna be a bad presentations clip (CG) in the background. But there were more people..cause honestly..i thought it was like a 30sec presentation.. And like you said, Gallen was more mischevious than evil..lol ..i think I was hope ing there were more real filming..like they did for Palace Schemes…but this is more emotions and CG… but most good series have bad presentation clips =] teehee..i still have hopes for this series….omg..did u hear..bernice is replaced with sharon chan..because bernice went to film for hollywood…wish they’d put some more popular young ones in here….cause we have the old generation captured..the middle age generation..now we need young people…. .MUAHAHHA…lol
and yes..incest with his sister!! BLAH!! thats weird…TOT

Hlim,
Imho, Gallen is at his best when his character faces dilemma. You could feel the inner struggles, subtly portrayed with just enough emotion to create that flutter in your chest. So, dilemma is quite welcomed,
Like Lavendar_Bluez said, there might hopefully be a number of touching scenes where our villain is torn between things.

Haha, you’re so kind for not saying it out right that the clip is quite poorly done. Is it true that “most good series have bad presentation clips”? Lols… That’s my favorite quote of the day!
Oh yes, I’ve heard about Bernice and am very glad that she got the opportunity. I will definitely catch that movie when it’s out.
Who else in the “young generation” would you like to join this cast? We have Kenneth Ma, Sharon Chan and Toby Leung, so far. (Are they forming the third love triangle, btw?)

hahha dont get me started..but first thing i wanna say..lawl..i was at the gallen baidu forum..lolz..and whole bunch of people took screen caps of gallen in the sales presentation clip..lol..everyone was saying cute here and there..lol…made me laugh…(but he is kind of cute for his age..>;P)
and omg..YES..definetly true…or atleast they get good ratings…i mean…Silver Chambers of Sorrows, War of In-Laws had NO sales presentation clip..and they did excellent..Moonlight Resonance had a s***ty presentation clip…its now raved as HK’s #1 production…and then failure ones..like Love Exchange had a really good presentation clip…turned out not to be so great..Beauty of Versatality..extensive clip..yet it never got filmed..=P so im sure ..the actaul series is gonna make up for the crappy sales presentation clip =]
well you see..i unno..atm..i feel the younger generation doesnt fit in right..but thats cause i was born into the classical era..”Gallen, Kenix,Ada, Jessica, Bobby and return of the artistes era” so thats why im more fond of the older generation…which is sad..cause im like..4x younger than them maybe… so i guess im happy these guys make up most of the cast…cause like they say “Beggars cant be Choosers” im lucky to even get some of these idols in a grand production…:P..omg my post runs on and on… just feel like the younger cast..dont seem to fit grand production feel yet..lol..if that makes sense? but oh well..less “big” younger generation there is..the more scripts the older ones get..=] and then i hope they swipe the awards away..and become HK#1 production instead..>=P

Lols, I wouldn’t want to associate Gallen with cuteness. I’d much prefer “manly” or something along the line, haha…
I’ve never paid much attention to rating, and for some of my favorite TVB dramas whose ratings I accidentally learned about, the scores were never high. So if we’re equating “greatness” with rating, it’s not necessarily good news. At least not for me.
As for the cast, I think it’s best to have a nice balance. I was just thinking of Cold Blood Warm Heart without Louis, Julian, Maggie and Jessica. It wouldn’t be the same. Even Gallen was a relatively fresh face at the time, and don’t we all appreciate the chance that he’s been given then?
Now for my dream cast, I would need Raymond and Tavia! Young, act well, and have huge fan bases (so that we will never have to worry about rating), what else can you ask for,
Anyway, I think we’ll soon learn of the final cast. The costume fitting ceremony is tomorrow.

omg…i almost forgot about that!! omg..sooo excited now..lol..im gonna be up until 2 am..to check up on the news..lolz!!!
omg..hahha i guess im not the only one who wanted fungyi..lolz….hahha but im just afraid people are getting sick of them …cause like both were in MR and HOG…..cause atm…even though palace scheme looks really good..but im really sick of the combo of people… lols… but i think another major problem being of having to put these two in..is that..TVB simply cant give them side roles..cause it’d be a waste of their talent..but if TVB gave them a bit more..then .this series is gonna be LOONG..(which i slightly dont mind..but i might now be able to keep track)
Cold Blood Warm Heart….i think i might have seen it….not quite sure… which series is the one with Gallen dating Amy Kwok…and somewhere in the middle of the series..Amy’s sister played by Kathy Chow was pregnant but died in the car accident with them..i remember it being Gallen and Amy in front seat…Kathy was in the back..but she didnt put on her seatbelt..and Gallen crashed..and Kathy flew up to the front and crashed against the window…. i actually didnt notice Louis, Julian, Maggie and Jessica them during those times… i actually remember Gallen more..and Lau Ching Wan and Adam Cheng and Amy Kwok… unless im thinking of another series…but honestly..i only knew those guys existed back then…

oh and..as for good series..well MR had a sales clip…and got good ratings… while WOIL2 and SCOS…didnt have sales clip…and not only had good ratings..but had excellent script and twists..
tehheee..im gonna go baidu for some more news..maybe they held it already? i mean its 11:26am in HK right now..meaning its their 24th..WOOO
