The cast for TVB’s upcoming 40-episode drama is now confirmed to have Kenix Kwok, Jamie Chik, Ray Lui, and Gallen Lo. Other names include Anita Yuen and Nancy Sit.
TVB has previously insisted that the plot would not be based on the Kwok brothers, but the few early rumored details do make the script look quite similar to the Kwoks’ real life dramas.
According to said rumors, Ray’s, Jamie’s and Kenix’s characters will form a love triangle, with Jamie’s being the lawful wife and Kenix’s being the soulmate - a strong, career-minded, and sophisticate woman. There will be a lot of conflicts between Ray’s character, a successful businessman, and his brother, played by Gallen.
I wonder if, between the two brothers, there will be an evil one. If so, I wish that would be Gallen’s character. It gets a little tired being the big brother who takes care of everyone and is responsible for everything. Let us once again have Gallen as a black sheep of the family. Wouldn’t that be much more interesting? Think Kiu Lik! Think Tsui Ka Lup!

I’ve just learned from sehseh’s post that Gallen’s character is the younger brother. Now we just have to wait and see if he is spoiled or evil (or both),
I also think Ray is the lead here. Earlier reports also said that Gallen’s role in this script is tailor-made for him. I’m interested to see how all of these fall into place.

So Kenix’s character will be involved in an extra-marital affair? If so, I highly doubt Gallen’s character will treat her like a sister, faux or otherwise. In fact, I don’t anticipate much Gallenix scenes in this case. See? Shattered.
Maybe I should look towards astrological signs instead. haha j/k
While you fervently hope Gallen portrays an evil role, my wish is quite… unrelated: I direly hope Kenix gains some weight! lol.
BTW, if Gallen’s role is evil, then he might collaborate with Kenix to destroy Ray’s marriage/family.

Anita Yuen and Gallen Lo are wife and husband. they will be main characters. Kenix Kwok has no direct relationship with Gallen Lo .they will not be a pair.
Kenix Kwok and others will be secondary role!

Kenix’s character might as well come first as a girlfriend, but for some reasons Ray’s character decides to wed someone else (as a business strategy or to please his parents, etc…), hence the triangle. But yes, at the end of the day she’s still “involved in an extra-marital affair”, which is never good.
And I agree, a few more pounds would look very healthy on her.
Now if we join our theories together, we’ll have two possibilities: 1. Gallen opposes Ray’s decision of marrying Jamie and sides with Kenix, and 2. Gallen influences the family and/or company to put pressure on Ray, forcing him to marry Jamie. In this case, Gallen is either Kenix’s enemy, or her secret admirer,

I’m not so familiar with Anita Yuen. I only know her from “Be My Guest II” (the drama, not Stephen’s talk show), so I don’t know what to expect from our Gallen-Anita pairing here. It’ll be fresh, at least.
I’m still a little disappointed that Flora rejected the part… From what I heard, she said she couldn’t travel to Europe for some parts of filming. The silver lining? Filming in Europe!

I think 40-episode drama is too short.100-episode drama like ATE will be perfect.
the cast is not attractive enough.the artists of the cast are a little old to audience.actors are about 50 years old.actress are about 40 years old.the range of the audience will be narrow.of course ,I like to see GAllen lo’dispay in TVB drama .

Twice I’ve heard that Anita’s role in LE is not so exciting. However I’ve also heard that her acting is quite solid. Let us just wait and see…
By the way, have we heard anything on Ada and Steven’s October series? Such unfortunate timing, don’t you think? But then again, I’ve heard that filming for this drama won’t start until END of November. A glimpse of hope, maybe?

I do think 40-episode is a good length. As for the cast, I’m sure there will be many more members to be added. I see your concern, but I’m more concerned, or rather excited, about the prospect of being able to enjoy solid performances. I’ll leave marketability and/or popularity for TVB to worry about.

Ray’s acting is solid but I’m not too sure I like him being lead.
Maybe it’s because I haven’t seen many of his past series yet. Looks like it’ll be a good production though, that’s for sure. Keep us posted.

Are you stalking TVB stars? How can you be so updated with them? lol I sat here for couple minutes just trying to figure out what’s going to happen on Oct 20th. Shame on me. Honesty I sort of look forward to GOL and sort of not. When I seem to forget of Ada’s hubby in there, the excitement comes, and vice versa. Plus, if I’ve a hate list (which I don’t), one of its main cast will top the list… haha I see I just scare Mimosa away. In the end, all of these have nothing to do with Gallen. Sorry, I’m so bore in the library waiting for ride home, so I yappadiyap away.
