Gallen Lo - Back Once Again to Prime Time Slot on CCTV (11/19/2006)

After winning wide acclaim with his Chanyu of Lady Wang in Exile, Gallen Lo Ka Leung is to meet CCTV’s audience again next year with two historical dramas, both will be broadcasted within the station’s “golden” time slots.
Yesterday, the 18th of November, CCTV has held his Prime Resource Bidding event for businesses and organizations who came to fight for coveted advertising opportunities next year, 2007. CCTV, the single central (federal) television company of China, holds on average about 30% of viewership nation-wide, and has just recently ranked 299th in top 500 media-related companies worldwide.
2007 is also a very unique year for China, as the nation reflects on its ten years of the SAR Hongkong handover, celebrates the 80th anniversary of its People Army, and anticipates Olympics 2008.
There are enough reasons for businesses and organizations to fight for a slot on CCTV’s prime time. The bidding last 13 hours, starting from 8:30 am.

Cast of “Great Navigation”, among which had Gallen Lo and his “teacher” Tang Guo-qiang, was present at the event and available for interview.

Side note: Gallen came to the event sporting a brand new haircut that must have given some of us a heart attack. Well, your guess is as good as mine. He must have started his new filming project already. Rumor has it that it will be one about the army, something along the line of DA Division. Let’s wait and see. I’m thrilled with the idea of Gallen in a smart uniform! All I need to do now is trying to get familiar with his army hairstyle!

[Video] Secret of the Heart - The Final Judgement (Ada Choi, Amy Kwok, Jessica Hsuan, Melissa Ng, Nick Cheung, Gallen Lo, and more)

Courtesy of ljing0930 and tudou. More than 20 minutes. It’s recommended to let the clip fully load once prior to viewing for a smooth show, since the connection isn’t always at its best ;)

Enjoy!
